Alarmeinstellungen

This section of the program's settings configures parameters for raising monitoring alerts, recording to logs, and sending e-mail and SMS messages.

In the Raise alerts... field, you can select when the program should raise alerts (in addition to the Überwachungsprüfung's passed/failed result):

a) Wählen Sie On device state changes setting to raise alerts only when the current device's check result differs from the previous check's result. Sie können außerdem enable the During the first check option to allow raising alerts on the program start.

b) Wählen Sie Always setting to receive alerts every time the device turns on or goes down (on each check).

In the Message text section, you can configure text strings which will be shown on the screen, or sent via e-mail when an alert is generated. Sie können use the following substitution keys in the message text to add various parameters' values:

  • %A - host's network address
  • %T - type of the check (ping, TCP, folder existence, usw.)
  • %S - status of the check (ON, OFF). We recommend using this key to shorten message texts (zum Beispiel, "%A is %S")
  • %D - current date and time
  • %C - host's caption - its name on the map
  • %M - map name
  • %U - current user logged on the Remote-Computer (which is detected on the program startup if the "Detect MAC, IP addresses, and usernames on startup" option is enabled in the Programmeinstellungen)
  • %RT - response time of the check (good for ping and other network checks)
  • %PV - monitored parameter value (zum Beispiel, the ink level in a printer or UPS voltage)
  • %DSC - description of the check (it can be specified on the Monitoring Checks... window)
  • %RET - line break.

All the keys will be replaced by the corresponding values automatically by the program.

In the Log field, you can edit the alerting log file name, specify the log file size limit, and configure the log writing settings.
