10-Strike LANState Pro Is a Finalist for the 2014 Network Computing Awards

LANState Pro - network mapper and monitor 10-Strike Software, the provider of network monitoring and management solutions, today announced that it is a finalist in Network Computing's "New Product of the Year" Award category. 10-Strike LANState Pro is a Windows-based network mapper and management utility that allows network staff to create a visual graphic network map which displays the actual state of the network's switches and servers. The product is aimed at network managers and engineers in small and medium-sized enterprises who need good visibility into their network to keep it running with minimal downtime.

LANState The power of LANState Pro lies in its unique abilities to automatically discover all network devices – routers, servers, hosts, printers and produce an easy-to-view pictorial map with node icons, connecting lines, labels, and areas, representing a network topology. By continuously scanning a network, the program detects active and inactive devices, finds new hosts, which are instantly reflected in the network map. This map ensures that the network administrator sees what is happening on the network in the real time and can respond to critical changes. The device and service failure alerts can be sent automatically via SMS or email.

10-Strike LANState Pro contains a built-in web server which allows remote users to connect to the program and see the visual network map with active and inactive hosts. The system administrator can access the web map from external networks using a mobile device and check the internal network's monitoring stats.

The latest version 7.4 which was released yesterday has got a new MIB browser that helps a user to watch and monitor the hardware parameters over the SNMP protocol. The administrator can add his own MIB files into the program so it will work with necessary network devices displaying their parameters in a convenient form instead of working with unreadable OIDs.
